Bali is famous of its beach. It's one of fact that we can't deny. However this time, I will try to review one of beautiful beaches in Bali. The name is Kelan Beach as it is very near to the airport. This wonderful site offers accessible entrance as you will find a small path nearby a dam on the left side of by pass Ngurah Rai road.
This beach is famous between locals as you will find local food traders such as roasted corn and steamed peanuts (usually in a cart), meatball, even hermit crab; complete with its cage which is very interesting for kids. There are also wide ranges of snacks you can choose to accompany your relaxing walks in the afternoon. The best time to go to this beach is between 4-6 PM when you can enjoy cool atmosphere after the hot sunshine leaves and waiting for sunset.
In that time, you can see many fishermen work together to sail to the ocean catching fishes. A group of fishermen would line the coast to push their traditional boat to the ocean as they start to fish at dark times until morning comes. Various boats are coming with beautiful shapes and ornaments wishing luck for their owner. Here I can feel amazing experience which I rarely see in other beach.
Following the coast, it's not really wide beach as it is bordered by a line of pipe-shaped stones just nearby a line of plane runway. Going to the south, you could have some Chinese restaurant with fantastic fire dance. It's a perfect place to end your day by great dinner if you'd like Chinese food. When the dark comes, most of restaurant try to enchant their guest by dance performance as it involved two female dancers and one male dancers to perform Kecak dance with fire.
